Temple Israel Sisterhood  2009-2010

If you have some time to spare, then Sisterhood has a job for you!  Please let Beth Sugerman know if you would be willing to serve on our Board for next year: bsug111@hotmail.com   We are looking to fill many positions.

Get Involved!

                                                                                        Come join in Sisterhood.

Look at all the activities we have had these past few months—planning and helping with the Chanukah Dinner, our trip to the Mikvah, and a Healthy Heart Program which was held on February 1.

It takes many hands to organize activities for the women of Temple Israel.

If you haven't yet joined Sisterhood, please contact Caron Goldenberg at 330-864-5996. If you are a member, please get involved. Here are some upcoming events that might interest you:

 * Baking Hamantashen—March 1

* Purim dinner cooking – March 8 at 9:30 a.m.

* Purim Dinner—March 10, chaired by Beth Sugerman and

   Elyssa Hilton

* Sisterhood Shabbat—April 17

Please plan on coming to dinner and a short general meeting at a restaurant to be announced for another Ladies Night Out on February 26. An evening out with Sisterhood will chase away the winter doldrums.

This is a fun project and a great way to get to know each other. There will be a variety of other opportunities (table setting, decorations, reservations, setup, etc.) to make this year’s dinner on December 26 another success. Please let Beth or Elyssa know how you would like to get involved.

If anyone would like to bless candles prior to a Shabbat service, please call either DJ in the office or Gloria Katz at 330-867-1497.  The blessing will be mailed to you ahead of time so you can become familiar with it. Mothers are invited to share the blessing with their daughters. We need someone to bless candles every Friday of the year. Please volunteer for this honor.

The next Sisterhood meeting will be held Sunday, November 23, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. Please plan to join us.
